GONZAGA ROWING WELCOMES NEW COACH AND SAYS GOOD-BYE TO ASSISTANT COACH ALIYAH SNYDER

This fall Gonzaga Rowing welcomes a new Assistant Coach, Paul Hamm.  Paul is a Gonzaga graduate (‘03) and a former rower at Gonzaga.  Paul becomes the second graduate of the Gonzaga Class of 2003 on the Coaching Staff, joining Freshman Coach Eric Gehrke.

Paul is a 2007 graduate of Harvard University, where he was a member of the Harvard Heavyweight Men's Crew.  For the past two years, he has been teaching Biology, English, History, and Religious Studies at the Shrewsbury School in England, where he also was a coach of the Shrewsbury rowing team.  Paul will teach Biology at Gonzaga.  All those from Gonzaga who attended the Henley Royal Regatta had the opportunity to meet Paul at the event and all are confident that he will be a great addition to the Gonzaga faculty and coaching staff!

Paul steps in for departing Assistant Coach Aliyah Snyder, who will be devoting her full time and attention to her Olympic ambitions in the sport of skeleton.  Our best wishes and gratitude go to Aliyah for her contribution to the extraordinary success of Gonzaga Crew during her tenure.
